From Rehab to Full-Speed Performance
Being cleared by rehab and being ready to compete are two different things. At St. Pete Sports Performance, our return to sport training in St. Petersburg, FL closes the gap between the two — rebuilding the strength, power, and confidence you need to return to full speed without hesitation.
This is the step most athletes skip. It’s also the step that separates a lasting return from a re-injury.

Why Finishing Physical Therapy Isn’t the Finish Line
Physical therapy gets you healthy. But “healthy enough for daily life” is a long way from “ready to cut, sprint, and land at full effort.” Most re-injuries happen when athletes return to sport with lingering strength deficits and asymmetries they can’t feel — but that show up clearly in testing.
How Return to Sport Training Works
We start by measuring where you actually stand. Using VALD force-plate and Force Frame testing, we quantify your strength, power, and left-to-right symmetry against the demands of your sport. Then we build training that closes the remaining gaps — progressive strength, sprinting, cutting, jumping, and landing, reintroduced in a controlled, measured way.
You’re not cleared to full competition on a hunch or a calendar date. You’re cleared when the data says you’re ready.
A Seamless Bridge From St. Pete Physical Therapy
This is where our two divisions connect. If you’ve rehabbed with St. Pete Physical Therapy, your data and history carry straight over — no starting from scratch, no mixed messages. If you rehabbed elsewhere, we’ll assess you fresh and build from there. Either way, you get one coordinated plan from injury to full performance.
Still in pain or not yet cleared? Start with St. Pete Physical Therapy first — we’ll be here when you’re ready for the final step.
